I forgot I even had livejournal until now.....jeez. It is currently about 10 below in wonderful Toledo Ohio. Ugh
I work for Ascent Media still and I'm enjoying the job more and more everday. (except when I'm outside in this weather....I'd rather go back to college then)
Which leads me to my next subject. I may back to school and get my masters degree applying to the job I've got. I need to look into it a little more....so that info is pending.
I'm single...by choice, for a lil bit atleast. Eddie was such a sweetheart, but not for me. (I haven't said that in atleast 5 years about a guy) Atleast he restored some of my faith in men. As my cousin Angela said 'If there is 1 asshole in the room Ashley's like, hey I think I'll go talk to him' lol My asshole radar is still on....damnit.
I'm finally getting my finances in order..and life after college with $ is great! Being broke for 4 years really makes me appreciate every penny now.
If anyone wants to come visit I love company.
My 57 year old Aunt is getting remarried to a Harley riding, cowboy! (I'm jealous even if he is 60 years old...:) He kareoke's, two steps, and treats her lke a queen. We are all so happy for her....except he's been married 3 times now (strike 1) and smokes(strike 2).

Well, its been a while since i've posted anything about my life...so here it is. I have a new job. I start this coming up week. Ascent Media Field Technician in the Toledo/Detroit area for now. I'll be working with Satellite systems for hospitals, tv station, meijers, etc... I'm really excited because its a career choice and not just a job. :) yay!
Other than that i'm the same old, same old. Eddie is doing wonderful, my kitty Dill is healthy and happy now, and my family is doing well too. I finally have everythin i could possibly ask for at this point in my life. A good job, a healthy relationship, and an apartment that i love...oh yea and my very own kitty. :)

My trip home was actually very family oriented and nice. No hurrying around. Wednesday i went to the sale barn to visit Celena and of course Luis too. Don showed up, but only for a short time before i scooted to go to dinner with Tiffany and Amanda. Dinner with the girls is always fun! Talking about school & work, bitching about boys.....lol good times. Then Thursday i spent with the family. Mom and i went shopping, we celebrated Grandpa's Birthday, and went to visit Grandma in the Nursing home. She wasn't very well that evening. Stevie drove down later that night for a vacation with the Moran's as well. lol Friday we went to see Grandma Gerry again and this time was much better. She talked to me and told me she loved me and even laughed at my silly comments. That night we went to Grandma Betty's birthday party and of course drank too much. Stevie and i went to the tractor pulls to say hi to Jamie and then went to Cedar Street to dance and drink the night away. (we did just that too)
Saturday morning was the trophy give away in honor of my Mother. It was tough, but i think i held up ok. I held up better than Aunt Linda atleast. Angela drove up from Frazeysburg to have lunch with us and it was fun. She has grown up so much! We went for a drink at the Legion before heading back to the fair to sit in the rain and wait for the rodeo at 7:30. :) (i have a cold now b.c. of it)I saw Tiffany, Brittany, and Mark at the fair as well. Sunday i went back to see Grandma Gerry once again. Stevie and i also went to Dean's soccer game and to visit Tiffany and Nick before heading back up here. Dean is soooo much better at soccer than baseball....thank-goodness!
Monday i worked, had an interview, took my sick kitty to the vet, and went to the circus with Eddie! It was great! My kitty is doing much better now, i have a cold, another job interview next tuesday, and this saturday i'm going to Cedar Point.

ok- I will be at home this wednesday thru sunday, October 1st. Wednesday i am meeting Tiffany McCarty at Tumbleweed for dinner. (maybe Amanda Dilley too) If anyone else wants to join just give me a call. :) Then...Thursday is family day. I am going to hang out with my mom, play with Dean, go with Dad to visit Grandma in the nursing home, and watch Grey's with my sister. Friday is my other Grandma's birthday and we are having a bar crawl/birthday party for her. It will be a blast. I may or may not go the pulls too. Saturday is fair day. I am giving a trophy in Melba's name in the afternoon and going to the rodeo at 7ish with Angela (and whoever else wants to join) After the rodeo i plan on some drinking...Sunday lunch with Tiffany Moran and then to Dean's soccer game before i head back to the Toledo area. :) I miss home, so this trip will be nice. :)

I haven't cried like this in a long time. My little brother Dean is really sick with something like shingles, but they don't know exactly what. My family is sitting with him worried sick and i call home just to check on him. His first words are 'Hi Ashley...i love you. guess what? I lost my first tooth!' He is itching and in pain and all he can say is that he loves me and that he lost his first tooth. It is so wonderful that such innocence exsists in his little mind. My dad said he literally just stopped sreaming of pain an few hours ago in the emergency room...and already he has forgotten all about the pain. Please say a prayer for the little guy...he all of 6 years olds has been through enough strange things. Tonight the tooth fairy is coming and he knows exactly what he wants....2 quarters, 4 dimes, and 5 pennies. I'm not sure the significance, but i guess he has his silly reasons! I miss my family.....thank goodness i'm going home next week for a visit.

My crappy mood started yesterday around 8pm. I was talking to my dad about how horrible my grandma is doing. They just put her in a care center/rehab
center. Zandex does the yard work there as far as i know, which means that Hittle has access to my grandma and i'll have to run into him when i do go visit her. Not to mention that my dad isn't handling this very well b.c. after 21 years of going to see my mother in a carecenter, now he has to go back and start the whole process over with Grandma. Then Dad starts in on and how big of a loser i am since i can't find a better-fulltime job. How if i don't start trying harder to find one that i won't have health insurance and blah blah blah. I'm trying really hard. I guess i'm just going to have to move to find a decent job which sucks and is an expesive process.
Stevie and i went and got drunk, so i was better.
Then today i get the call frm Don about him dating someone and not being able to see me for the fair. I really meant so much to him......gag. It just frustrates me. And then there's Eddie.....which isn't going anywhere. He barely has time for me once a week, let alone to listen to me when i'm upset. Hell, i don't even think i've talked to him for five minutes or long enough to tell him grandma is in a carecenter. Shit just comes in trains for me...and lately its been more bad than good. I gave up on love once and it worked out well for me. Maybe i should just do that again.

Today i adopted a Kitty....well i'm actually fostering him with the intent to adopt him in the near future. He is 9 weeks old and he is an orange tiger kitty. His name is Dill b.c. he was found at Dillards. So very cute, but he has a cold right now. I'm so happy to finally have the kitten i was promised so long ago....but i got him myself. I heart him already! I think he will be the perfect companion i need.
This week i am getting the rest ofmy furniture. ( i already bought my table) I also have my last doctors apppointment dealing with my blood clot (hopefully) I'm healthy and happy as could be right now...the only thing missing from my life is a decent job a.k.a. money!
I'll be home for the Coshocton Fair if anyone is in town and wants to go with me. So Far Tiffany McCarty, Celena, and Don are going to go with me or meet up with me there....yay!

Yesterday was not a good day at work. And i was upset about it and the situation. Eddie found out from someone just the tip of the story and he called me to see if i was ok. He thought i didn't sound alright....even when i said i was. He drove over here just to see for himself. I wasn't here at that point so i didn't know this until today. His roomie told me he did that. It is nice to know that someone cares.:)I called him this morning to thank him and he said. " I remember you saying that you aren't use to having someone there for you when you need them in a relationship...and i didn't want to be the same way. You were upset and i wanted to know that you were ok and for you to know i was there for you" ewwww gross! lol
Today i am going to Norwalk to watch Nick race....actually i'm going to visit Tiffany b.c. i miss her way too much. If i could bring one part of my family with me where ever i end up living i think it would be them....or Grandma Betty and George. I'd never convince my pops to move so its not even an option.
I went to apply for a job yesterday at the 'heartland of perrysburg' and much to my surprise its a nursing home. I began shaking and holding back tears because i just couldn't do it. I didn't even make it past the lobby. I just can't work there. I didn't go visit my mother for 21 years in a nursing home for her to die and me to turn around and work at one. I'm just not that good of a person.

So this week i have 50 hours at work. I have been taught how to use the small commander and laredo analog news jeeps, and since Unit 18 livetruck is down for the count i have been using unit 19 which is analog/digital and satellite ready. It is so freakin cool to use...:) Yesterday i had Hazard and Haz Mat training...which was actually a learning experience for me. I am now the proud owner of a respirator and bio/chemical hazard outfit or costume lol. They asked me about the carbon monoxide poison that i had recieved. It was an opener to the dangers of my job...other than being shot in the chetto's of Toledo. I have 45 hours next week at work too, so i'll be making the money for a while. (Still searching for my dream job)
Ok, enough about work- I ordered my living room set. I can't wait until it comes in. I love it....its light green and the chair design has tan. light grren, dark green, and browns in it. Just off kilter from earth tones, so it stands out. :) I am getting a table as soon as Eddie has a day off, it won't fit in my car, but we think it will fit in his car. (i hope atleast)
At the Coshocton fair my Grandma asked me to be the one to give the trophy in my mothers name---It is a huge honor, but i don't think i'll do it justice. Either way i know i'm going to cry while doing so...
I got to see Joshie Poo twice while he was home on break. This time was at the Allen County fair. It was nice to see him and to be ensured on his friendship through all of the crap....with MH and DW and even with his women. ;)

I've decided i have a new phobia. I have always been afraid of heights, bees, and feet. I think i have one towards commitment now too. This past year i have avoided if like the plague, but only in relationship situations. I think i could screw up the best thing in the world because of this phobia. Take Don for instance...i didn't move home and one reason was because i knew he wanted more with me....and i flipped out about it. Now i keep pushing Eddie away and doing things that could mess up our chances...thank-gosh its open ended right now or i'd have already messed it up just be staying at Don's last weekend. And since i don't have my plate already full with those two names on the penis train i hit on a guy at the bar which it ends up he CAN get a hold of me if he wants to b.c. we have mutual friends and an old friend from high school keeps coming back into the picture when least expected. Oh yea, and how could i forget...Tony comes home from Iraq in November. Now, i know i need to make a decision, but i'm not good at that either.....ugh. I like knowing that people like me and that i'm an attractive person to some, but damn this penis train. I'm going to hurt someone no matter what i do, burn bridges, and possibly hurt myself in the process.
I can't wait o get another job...

This weekend is the Mattingly reunion & 150 Anniversary of the Mattingly Settlement. I am working until 10am then heading home for that. Instead of going to the rosary and stuff though i'm headed to Perry County to drink and go to tractor pulls with Don, Luis, & Celena. :) Sunday is the actual mass and lunch-in for the church. I'm not close to this sid of the family nor do i really enjoy going to church when there are 200 Catholics shoved in a small space, but i'm going none the less.
I'm happy b.c i run live truck for the next 3 weeks. (~smiling lots~)
I'll also have my weekends off b.c. of it so i'll have a night life!!!! (Eddie might even get a saturday night off so we can actually have a real stinkin date! lol) We started dating around July 14th so its been almost a month. Oh boy, i'm so glad things are working out well for us....Time will tell with the rest of the shiznit.
Aunt Linda is coming to visit next tuesday evening.
Movie with Jared at some point next week.

I'm working full-time for the next month and that means i'll have my weekends off. YAY! Next weekend i'm going to my family reunion & out with th Perry County group. :) The next weekend is the tractor pulls in BG and let me tell you Stevie and I are aiming to get into some trouble. ;) oh boy....i'm kinda happy for the next month.
Today i found a baby bat on the sidewalk....during the day. He was eithe rsick or hurt and he made a horrible noise at me. :( i wanted to bring him home to be my pet, but he was mean.
I'm still happy and enjoying life! Hope everyone else is too. :)

I went home for a few days and let me tell you...it was one of the best trips home i have ever had. I helped my dad and we are still closer than ever. I played with my brother and our new baby goat, Jinny Lee. I went out with my Grandma and Georgeto the Legion. I even met Georges grandson Eric. Eric and i ended up going on a bar crawl in Coshocton and i ran into some old friends. It was nice to see them, and to realize that they are still the same people doing the same things that they were 4 years ago when i hung out with them. Some things never change...and that can be a good thing. I went to the Perry County Fair as well. I hung out with Tiffany, Jared, Don and Jamie. I am still amazed how much Don has matured and grown up. I went to the tractor pulls with them and we watched his family pull....and i actually had fun. I just feel so thankful right now to have such a supportive, wonderful family and such great, true friends. It took my 22 years to find friends worth keeping....but i think i have them, both at home and in Toledo. A special Thanks to Stevie for always being one.....and thanks to those who have become great friends more recently. :)
Someone once told me the Love is worth it. Love is worth the wait, the compremises, and the hardships. I found a box of ex-shit when i was packing my stuff to move to Perrysburg....and i am so happy where my life has led me.He was right about one thing in his life...love is worth it, just not with him. I am moving in a few days and a new start to my life will officially begin. No more stupid reminders of people. People in the Perrysburg/Toledo area don't know my mistakes or my stupidity. I am who i am now and not who i use to be. That puts a smile on my face.
